Inaccurate heart rate on Versa

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

This has only been happening for the last week, while I'm doing intense cardio (bike, run, stair climber) my heart rate on the versa will not go over about 130 bpm despite the HR monitor on the machine saying my HR is between 160-170, I checked which method was more accurate by taking my own heart rate and realized that my fit bit is way off. I've tried holding the handles so my arm doesnt move and I've tried repositioning the fit bit multiple times but neither thing has solved this issue. Please help.

@Blairsut welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since it's not tracking your heart rate accurately even though you have made sure to hold the handles re-positioned the watch before contacting our forums.

Please restart your watch as described in this help article. After this, made sure of the following details:

  1. Your device is positioned correctly on your wrist:
    • Tighten the band so that it doesn’t slip on your wrist. For more information, see How do I track my heart rate with my Fitbit device?
    • Heart-rate tracking may not work with certain accessory bands, especially if they’re loose fitting. For best results, use the wristband that came with your device.
  2. If you’re doing an exercise such as high-intensity interval training, boxing, or other activities that cause your arm to move vigorously, try to relax your wrist and stay still for up to 10 seconds until your heart rate appears.

Note that heart-rate tracking is disabled during swimming.

Finally, monitor your Versa for the next 24 hours and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome! 😀
