Hi, I am considering purchasing a Versa 3 to replace my aging Versa 2.
Can the Versa 3 use my phones GPS in the same way as the Versa 2 and can it be set to do this as default when phone GPS is available?
I know the Versa 3 has built in GPS but the battery life is poor when using it.
I've been looking at the Fitbit website but can't find a definitive answer.
Thanks
Mike

Hi, @Miike29 , unfortunately there is not an option to use “connected GPS” (phone’s GPS) on the Versa 3. The built in GPS can simply be off or on.
Having said that, I find that the battery life, even using built in GPS is surprisingly good. It is much improved over earlier devices.

@Miike29 If your Versa 2 is aging, but still working, you might want to wait a month or two. There are many leaks about the Versa 4 in the tech journals. It hasn't been "announced" for pre-order and the specs haven't been published. I was disappointed that Fitbit didn't put dynamic GPS on the Versa 3. Maybe it will be on the Sense 2/Versa 4. Rumors suggest a September release date.

Thanks for the replies. As my Versa 2 still functions I will wait to see what the Versa 4 has to offer. Hopefully it will be available in the next month or so.
