Is my Versa 3 water resistant even if I don’t turn on the water lock?

Hi there, @DD001. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums and the details provided in your post.
As @Guy_ has mentioned, Versa 3 does not have a water lock feature.
Although the Versa 3 is water-resistant to 50 meters, I have seen that sea water (salt water) tends to damage many electronic devices, so it's always recommended that you follow the steps listed in the Wear & Care guide, and to dry the watch before wearing it.
Keep in mind that these devices are more designed to be worn at a pool, river or lake, so I wouldn't recommend to use in salt water for a prolonged period of time. You can find all the information in this article.

Hi @DD001 - the Versa 3 is specified as water resistant but the seals on some watches aren't very robust and can also fail over time, though while it is under warranty it can replaced if it fails.
There is no water lock on this watch, only a swim exercise lock which stops water movement on the screen from changing settings. Either way it has no affect on the quality of the seals.
