Is Versa good for swimming?

Hey everyone,

I will start saying that I have read several topics about this topic, but all seem to be a few months old. I was wondering if there has been any improvement with new updates and such and if you would recommend Versa for swimming purposes?

I am looking for a device I can use to track my swimming, which is my main activity, but I am not a pro swimmer by any means. I have read some people saying that it does not track/register stroke styles used during the activity and others saying that it does if users let the activity be recognized itself instead of inputting it manually. I have also read horror stories of people who had to get several replacements due to water damage after swimming.

I would love to hear your experiences and opinions about it all please 🙂

A warm welcome to the Community @VSB87.

As you might know, Fitbit Versa is swim-proof in a lake, pool, or ocean (up to 50 meters). For more information about this you can check the help article Can I swim or shower with my Fitbit device?. Now if you want more information about the swimming data it records, take a look at the help article How do I track swims with my Fitbit device?.

Let me know if you need anything else. Woman Happy
