Good day,
Could someone please give information regarding handling a baby and wearing a device like the Versa? I was wondering if it could be bad for baby being this close to such a device?

As mentioned by our friends, wearing your watch near of your baby won't cause any damage. Fitbit devices operate far below FCC compliance levels for RF power levels. So low in fact that they're exempt from the evaluations required for other RF devices like cell phones. Also, the fact that your Versa only transmits intermittently further decreases exposure to RF energy.
I hope this helps, let me know if you need anything else.

You could always take it off while you are nursing and put it back on when you are done.
