Is it possible to turn off Fitbit Pay?

Yesterday at work in a library my fitbit pay screen was continually coming on as I work near a machine for removing tag security from books at the counter. It literally went off about 50 times, every time I was within 10cm of it, and ran my battery down to 6%! How do I switch off the pay notifications without switching off all of them?

Note: This does not actually turn off Fitbit Pay. All it does is delete your cards from the watch and mobile wallet.

Log into the Fitbit.com website and go to the dashboard. In the upper right corner there is a gear icon, tap it. Then tap on settings, then your watch. At the bottom of that screen there is a “Fitbit Pay”. You can turn it off there.

Hi, thanks for the feedback but that didn't work:(

Any other ideals?

Dang. Apparently all that option does is delete the cards from the watch and mobile wallet.

Mea culpa. My fault entirely for not checking on it first.

I appreciate your suggestion, as it seems to be the only chance this could be changed; however, it is totally unacceptable that Fitbit imposed this on us, and that 8 months later--with numerous threads dealing with this cause for many very-angry long-time customers--there has still been no fix by Fitbit/ Google 😞

Totally understand. I view it like all the annoying apps that came on my
phone that I would never use that just have to be hidden but can't get rid
of completely. It's now unseen and not on my device.

Unfortunately, I have the Charge 5, and hiding those notifications is impossible--no "shortcuts" feature (as their is on the Versa).

Yesterday I installed the Charge 5 update then went into the computer account and disabled the FITBIT pay.  So far so good, no more annoying requests to add a card

You can turn it off, took me forever to find it but you can stop it coming up on your watch by accident.

On the watch itself scroll to settings cog, go to shortcuts and turn off the press & hold shortcut which is usually linked to fitbit pay.

This should fix the issue
