Is my Versa 3 faulty

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have just received a new Versa 3 and have the following issues. GPS slow to connect and signal keeps dropping. Does this make the distance inaccurate. My accurate 5k route read as 4.71k. when running the screen won't come to life wife a wrist movement so I have to use always on but when I look it's rarely connected. The side "home" button rarely works and when it does takes me to random screens not always home. Now won't sync with my phone. Should I return it as faulty?

HI @DRD63  - several operating issues to check first.

Swipe the watch face to the right to get to Quick Settings and check you have wrist movement enabled [watch icon] and that Sleep and Do not disturb are disabled.

The button has three modes.

  • One press to turn on/off or go back home
  • long press usually associated with voice assistant
  • double press to bring up short cuts, or end Swim
  • long and double press can be configured in the watch Settings

Practice to turn on/off the screen when in normal clock mode, then try the other options till you get the hang of it.

Thanks Guy, yes wrist movement is enabled and works when I'm not running.

I have been trying to get to grips with side button but it is still inconsistent, and frankly, shouldn't need practice. Poor design and a case of form over function.

You mention voice control. App loaded and active on phone, watch tells be to set up voice assistant so something else not working. Any thoughts about the GPS or are they all bad at finding and holding a signal?

@DRD63-  for voice assistant go to the voice assistant tile and make sure it is connected - it gets disconnected when you restart the phone or Fitbit App or logout. Tedious you have to connect it each time you login.
