I have seen other topics, however, they are more talking about the Ionic. I'd like to see if anyone has actually gone swimming or showered (doubt the latter) with the Versa on and how did it fair?
I can see with the Ionic the states aren't super accurate however I am not too worried about the stats. I am more wondering about the device itself. Any issues or complications with it post swim or during the swim. I have only had mine a couple of days and have yet to get the guts to sink it.

@AlejandraFitbit, Hello Alejandra. I'm confused. If the watch is water resistant up to 50 meters you are in water. how would it not be waterproof.

Water resistant is just legal terminology to cover themselves against water damage. Technically anything could be "water resistant" but water proof means 100% no water will enter the device. The Fitbit is not water proof by a longshot, however there's a 98% chance that it will be fine. Every watch is "resistant". None are water proof.

Waterproof vs. water resistant. Blame the lawyers. So far reading this thread there have been several failures regarding water ingress into the Versa. Consider that a million + Versas have been sold. Looks like a rather well made product not like the Blaze which had a few issues.
I may buy one myself to replace my ailing Blaze.

I have the versa. I wear it in the pool as well when I go snorkeling in the ocean. I have never had an issue with the device.

I went in the river and thought I was being careful not to get it to wet. It died

The good news is, in my experience the Fitbit Versa IS waterproof.
Because Fitbit's answers in this forum have been so wishy-washy, I have experimented with mine. I've had it about 6 weeks, and have showered with it almost every day. After a couple of weeks, I swam with it briefly for about 10 minutes. Then this past weekend, I wore it in the pool for almost an hour -- swimming, riding the waterslide, playing water volleyball, etc. It continues to work just fine. To me, that is "waterproof." (So I suspect the people who have had problems just have defective Versa's, which should be replaced.)
Now I just wish Fitbit would give us a straight answer here and say, yes, of course, it is waterproof and you can swim in it.

I agree with most of what Allottarod said.
Except Fitbit is trying to be tricky with the wording.

No. 50 meters.
And the answer is YES, you can swim in it -- as the box said when you bought it.
This doesn't need to be so complicated.

I upgraded to the versa, I was not to sure about jumping in the pool after reading all the bad experiences everyone is having. I bought it because they advertise you can swim in water up to 50 meters. I jumped in the pool and so far everything is working ok. If it’s water resistant up to 50 meters and keeps working I’ll be happy.

I understand, but that's sad because I'm sure being advertised as ok to be in water was one of the reasons you bought the Versa ☹️

I have been using my versa in water since the first day they came out and I purchased one. Constantly take it into the ocean snorkeling and freediving down 10 meters or more. Body surfing with it on and of course lots of pool time.

You must have got a good one as my 3rd Versa dies within minutes of being in a pool. Poor thing vibrated a couple of times and screen went dead and that was the end of my Versa days.

I would guess you have a 50/50 chance
