I have seen other topics, however, they are more talking about the Ionic. I'd like to see if anyone has actually gone swimming or showered (doubt the latter) with the Versa on and how did it fair?
I can see with the Ionic the states aren't super accurate however I am not too worried about the stats. I am more wondering about the device itself. Any issues or complications with it post swim or during the swim. I have only had mine a couple of days and have yet to get the guts to sink it.

I spent a lot of money on the Versa so I could track my exercise and honestly thought it would be better than the Apple Watch. The day I got the Versa I took a shower and forgot it was on, but I didn’t think I’d have to worry because “waterproof” but now it won’t hold a charge or even work right. I don’t know how many times I did the exact same thing with the Apple Watch and it never stopped working. Really disappointed as I saved up a bunch of money just for it not to be waterproof like it says. I had such high hopes I threw the receipt away and everything. Probably should just got back to my old Apple Watch unless anyone has any recommendations? The heart rate stopped working doesn’t hold a charge for more than an hour. And I’ve reset the versa multiple times and factory reset it and nothing help.

As I have stated previously this watch is definitely not waterproof. The company falsely advertised. They will keep replacing the watch but will not allow you to exchange it unless you pay 50% of the exchange. I am currently saving so I can go with the Apple Watch. Done with Fitbit Versa

Semantics. It should be fine up to 50 meters, per Fitbit. It is not. Fitbit would be better off addressing either the false advertising or or the problem. There’s a pretty big reputational risk in selling a swimproof watch that you can’t actually get wet.

Straight from the Fitbit features list for the Versa: “Swimproof & Tracks Swims
Water resistant to 50M for wear in the pool or rain. Tracks laps, duration and calories burned during swim workouts.“
if if you can’t shower, walk in the rain, or swim with it and have it continue to work, it is false advertising. Period.

I am going on my third device, the device is not waterproof. It may be water resistant but definitely not waterproof. I would be on my fourth device but I will not accept another device. the second time I had to replace device I requested to speak with quality control and there is no department within Fitbit. I would like to have the device changed to a different device however I would have to pay 50% of the price for a new device. Not quite fair that the product has not held up to what is advertised and have the consumer pay for a new device.

I have not even gone swimming in the device and it is not holding up. I have followed the recommendations and dried the device each time I shower in it. After about 3 month time frame the device seals don't hold up and the display goes out. Recommendation to not where it in the water if you want to keep it for a long time.

I agree. As I have said many times on this subject the watch is not waterproof or swim proof. I have had my fourth exchange watch for about three months but I have not done my water aerobics wearing the watch nor have I taken a shower with it on. I have been told that I must be having bad luck with the watches or something but they do not hold up when they get wet

Hi there... I've been swimming with my Versa. The first one lasted about
four months, then crapped out. I contacted Fitbit support, and they sent me
a new one. I hadn't been swimming with it very much, as I had surgery in
March - but I started back up again a couple of weeks ago. My second one
just died in the pool (same as the first) and I'm just seeing the black
screen of death right now. I'm chatting with customer service as we speak.
Not a happy camper right now; I am going to ditch this **ahem** and do as you
did, save up for an Apple watch.
Many would like to believe that I am the only person having this problem and that i am having “bad luck “ with the Versa. Thank you for your reply

Shaylene, do you actually swim with it? I am beginning to suspect that "waterproof to 50 meters" means you can only go one lap with it before it dies. I'm on my third replacement. I regret buying this item, as I feel I was sold a bill of goods. I do not shower with it, wash dishes with it on, or get it wet in any other way, other than swimming with it - and it does not hold up. Maybe you are lucky and got the only one that is waterproof, but there are plenty of others who are not having your same experience.

no it is not and it is not waterproof or water resistant up to 50 meters. I am on my fourth Versa (in 13 months) and the longest that it has lasted is 4 months. An occasional splash of water is fine but do not submerge in water unless you want to keep having Fitbit send you another device. I wish they would stop advertising that it is water resistant up to 50 meters. The Versa is not holding up to that specification.
