I have seen other topics, however, they are more talking about the Ionic. I'd like to see if anyone has actually gone swimming or showered (doubt the latter) with the Versa on and how did it fair?
I can see with the Ionic the states aren't super accurate however I am not too worried about the stats. I am more wondering about the device itself. Any issues or complications with it post swim or during the swim. I have only had mine a couple of days and have yet to get the guts to sink it.

That happened to me with my first verse luckily best buy had a good return policy. Second one no issues so far other than rashes and burns.. I think I give up on my versa. Love the tracking but not worth the ugly skin

Interesting, mine was just out of the warranty period. I should have swam in it last year while it was new and under warranty, had I known. No replacement here, just a discount. I will never shop Fitbit again. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

I consulted this page after my Fitbit Versa stopped tracking my heart rate and the green light wasn’t working. Furious I turned it over to see what looked like evaporated water sitting on top of the tracker lights. My Flex 2 has to be replaced after two months because of a similar issue and I am so livid. I have had this watch since April 2019 and love it especially for running. I thought it was an amazing investment until it got water damage. I have been swimming with it on three different occasions, including a salt water pool and the ocean, without any issues. The rest of the watch works great and I have stuck it in rice to see if that helps, but will most certainly get a new one. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE BRAND!

I have gone swimming twice with my Fitbit Versa and it has been malfunctioning ever since the second swim. Hoping to receive a new one as it is only few months old.

Update: Fitbit was extremely helpful in helping get a replacement before my big running get away with overnight shipping. I have gone swimming in a chlorinated pool twice with the replacement and so far (knock on wood) so good. It works great and I Once again have fallen in love with the Versa!

I have a Fitbit Versa and I am now returning my fifth (5) watch within one year. I am told that the warranty on my original purchase is up on August 21(today is August 7) and the replacement watch will not have a warranty after August 21. I originally purchased this watch so that I could tract my exercise during aquatic exercises so I did wear the first 4 watches in the swimming pool. The fifth replacement watch (which I had for about 3 months) did not go in the swimming pool or get wet at all and it just stop working yesterday (8/6/19). I spoke to a supervisor regarding either upgrading this watch or providing me the one-year warranty on the replacement which is supposed to be sent to me after they receive the watch in the mail. Over the one-year period, I have been without the watch over a periods of weeks to months because of sending them back and waiting for the return of the replacement. I think this is unacceptable and I think you should accommodate me in some way for this apparent defective device.

I don't think it is waterproof. I have had 3 in the last year and the only thing different to when I had a Blaze is that I have been swimming in it.

I'm glad your new Versa is working. I would be extremely leery of getting it wet, though. I am on my third and because I enjoy it and want it to last, I take it off before I swim. Every time.

As long as it's still under warranty, you should receive a new one. I will say, if your warranty is active, Fitbit customer service is fantastic.

I wore my fitbit versa swimming for the first time today. After an hour in the pool, the versa started opening apps on its own and I couldn't get it to show the clock face for more than a second before it opened another app.
I shut it down, but it turned itself back on and is now continually flipping between the "nothing new to show" screen, the alarm screen and the walk exercise screen.
I've taken it off and removed the wrist straps. It's been about 7 hours and it's still possessed.

I've just sent my 2nd versa back for a review. Last june I went to Tobago after 3 days watch died. Didn't ever come back so I was sent a replacement as it was only 7 months old. The same last week, 3 days into our holiday watch died. I can only assume that it doesn't like being immersed in water in a hot country. I've worn it in the shower many times with no issue and in the sea in the UK. Still waiting to hear the outcome from any investigation.. Annoying not having a watch
