I have seen other topics, however, they are more talking about the Ionic. I'd like to see if anyone has actually gone swimming or showered (doubt the latter) with the Versa on and how did it fair?
I can see with the Ionic the states aren't super accurate however I am not too worried about the stats. I am more wondering about the device itself. Any issues or complications with it post swim or during the swim. I have only had mine a couple of days and have yet to get the guts to sink it.

Mine got fried after a shallow swimming ... Got versa 2, and still not brave enough for trying it.

I have taken mine swimming and it ruined both of them. I was under the impression I could swim given that it's a feature. The most recent device I was only in the water for five minutes. Super frustrating because I loved my watch.

I went through four Versa watches in one year. The first two, I wore in the swimming pool maybe 3-4 times a week; they lasted maybe three months apiece. The third, I didn't get wet at first, then forgot I had it on, went swimming, and it died that day. The last one I got in October 2019. I haven't immersed it once - but the battery life is now awful, won't hold a charge past one day (used to last almost 4.) I'm done with Fitbit. Shame too, because I love the watch - but it is obviously not meant for immersion, and that was my main reason for buying it.

well, I am giving us on Fitbit Versa and any Fitbit products. I am awaiting receipt of an Apple watch. Fitbit is not a quality product (at least the Versa) and I am just giving up trying to work with them. Their customer service is not all that great either!!!

Similar to several other people I went on to swims both in a pool and in water less than 5ft and my less than three-month old Versa 2 is shot. I am still trying to receive assistance from Fitbit but it's like pulling teeth. I'm researching other brands that can actually be used for swimming and not just advertise for swimming.

this post gives me so much anxiety
fitbit: has features to track swimming
customer: “I’m terrified to swim with my watch, can you really swim with it for workouts and have no issues?”
Fitbit: “it is not water proof it is water resistant”
🤦🏻
thankfully I am not a “swimmer” and I definitely would never purchase a Fitbit TO track swimming since they can’t guarantee there will be no issues.
my personal experience? Fitbits sketchy responses make me absolutely terrified to swim with mine and I won’t. However, my daughter has pushed me in our pool to be funny when I immediately jumped out and hung my Fitbit to dry without any issues. When I think water resistant I think of that. If it gets wet quick no big deal it’s more than likely fine. A watch used to track swim laps? That should be considered water proof!!!

Funny enough very few watches are actually waterproof. Luckily my watch was
still under warranty so I've learned my lesson and will not be wearing it
to swim. I went with a garmin vivoactive 4 for swimming, hopefully this
will have better results.

My Versa died yesterday, I was working on my pool had my arm in the water for 10 minutes fixing valve in the pool in 1ft of water. the battery died, I thought it just needed charging as it was about 3 days since charge. I dried it off and put it on the charger 3 hours later it charged to 100% then only held a charge for 2 hours. I recharged it again and lasted @ 2 hours again. The watch is fried. I did love my fit bits until this incident. I bought this to go swimming I was just too afraid to and decided to let it get wet to test it. Very disappointed in Fitbit 😞

Yesterday I went swimming in our community pool (5 ft max depth) and afterwards discovered that my Versa Lite wasn't working. Later that night I noticed condensation under the sensor windows. I contacted support and, because I'm out of warranty by 60 days (mine is 14 months old), the only thing the could offer was a 25% discount towards the purchase of a new device. This is my fourth Fitbit over the past 7 years and I'm pretty sure it will be my last.
So while the Versa Lite may be water resistant initially, I wouldn't suggest anyone banking on that outside of your warranty period.

I would have to say NO!!!!
Like everyone else who replied, I bought the Versa because it was water resistant up to 50m. I do water aerobics three times a week, wear it while showering, at the beach, everywhere. The first Versa (original) lasted from July 2019 until January 2020. The second watch, also an original Versa (purchased my watch at Kohl's so they replaced it for me), lasted from February 2, 2020 until June 2020.

I just swam in my grandsons kiddie pool and my versa is dead! I took it off and I’m trying to let it dry but I have a bad feeling it’s shot! 😔 that was the reason I upgraded from the blaze to the versa was because of the “waterproof” feature and the pool is only 2 metres deep
