I have seen other topics, however, they are more talking about the Ionic. I'd like to see if anyone has actually gone swimming or showered (doubt the latter) with the Versa on and how did it fair?
I can see with the Ionic the states aren't super accurate however I am not too worried about the stats. I am more wondering about the device itself. Any issues or complications with it post swim or during the swim. I have only had mine a couple of days and have yet to get the guts to sink it.

Really seems to be hit or miss on the watch, which is concerning. I've gone swimming approx 6 times now and not having issues while others are having major issues. I do find that after swimming it takes awhile sometimes to sync, but it eventually catches up with steps etc. It's definitely nerve wracking for sure as you hope your watch will be ok after the swim. Fitbit should stand behind their product and replace your watch. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I've been using mine since the beginning of June.. also purchased mine from Amazon..you should be able to return it.. I asked Amazon about their return policy and they follow the sellers policy... Fitbits warranty is a year so I didn't take the extended warranty..I would contact Amazon and if you have issues contact Fitbit directly. Good Luck.

i got mine back in april and it was working fine until i splashed a little water on it while washing my hands. then it suddenly wouldn't work at all, it wouldn't turn on or even charge. after sitting it in rice all day while i was at work, it still wouldn't work, so i called customer service and she said she would send me another charging cable because she thinks my versa's battery is dead and that maybe the charging cable is not working, even though she could tell on her computer that i had just charged it fully 3 days ago. now i have to wait for the charging cable and try it out before i can get a replacement for my versa, even though it is pretty obvious that there is something wrong with it and not the charging cable

Mine is a mess after swimming. I do all they say to do. Have done 5 or 6 10 second resets and it then loses my workout. I am a lifeguard at a Y, I never dive

That would be rubbish in the U.K. - just a scam - you buy something pay for the goods they don’t work they replace! Simple....

The Fitbit Versa User Manual states that the Versa is Water Resistant to 50 meters. Here's what the ISO says about water and watches. Are you saying that Fitbit Versa doesn't meet the standards listed below? One more fail for the Versa! So glad I returned it.
Water resistance rating Suitability Remarks
Water Resistant 3 atm or 30 m | Suitable for everyday use. Splash/rain resistant. | Not suitable for showering, bathing, swimming, snorkeling, water related work, fishing, and diving. |
Water Resistant 5 atm or 50 m | Suitable for swimming, white water rafting, and fishing. | Not suitable for diving and snorkeling. |
Water Resistant 10 atm or 100 m | Suitable for recreational surfing, swimming, snorkeling, sailing and water sports. | Not suitable for diving. |
Water Resistant 20 atm or 200 m | Suitable for professional marine activity, serious surface water sports and skin diving. | Suitable for skin diving. |
Diver's 100 m | Minimum ISO standard (ISO 6425) for scuba diving at depths not suitable for saturation diving. | Diver's 100 m and 150 m watches are generally old(er) watches. |
Diver's 200 m or 300 m | Suitable for scuba diving at depths not suitable for saturation diving. | Typical ratings for contemporary diver's watches. |
Diver's 300+ m for mixed-gas diving | Suitable for saturation diving (helium enriched environment). | Watches designed for mixed-gas diving will have the DIVER'S WATCH xxx M FOR MIXED-GAS DIVING additional marking to point this out.

The term 'waterproof' is no longer used regarding watches. It has been replaced with Water Resistant nnM.

Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well.
I sincerely appreciate your participation in the forums and would like to thank you all for your insight and feedback. Please note that none of the Fitbit devices has been categorized as "water-proof", most of them are "splash-resistant" and when introducing the Fitbit Flex 2, Ionic and Versa these specific trackers were categorized as "swim-proof" and they are "water-resistant" up to 50 meters as @shadykay pointed out on the water resistant table.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding, if there's anything else you might want to add, please feel free to do so. Have a nice day.

MarcoGFitbit,
The problem is that you and your colleagues are complicating this and talking in circles. Just answer this question with a yes or a no:
Will by Fitbit Versa be ok if I swim in a pool with it on? yes or no?

I swam on Friday, Saturday, and Subday in less than 4 feet of water and now my watch will not reconnect and is moving without me touching it.
I dried it after each dip in the water.
