Is the charcoal strap not ok to get wet?

I have read that it isn't water resistant, which is why you get both straps.

I would guess it is OK to get wet, but it will hold moisture longer so would not be a good idea to wear once it is wet. Also it is probably not chlorine restistant so would be better not worn in a pool. Just guesses though!

I took a shower with the woven band. It’s ok. It will last about 1.5 hours until it is dry again. It was not uncomfortable to wear the band wet. For swim training it would be best to change it. I’ll do that while swimming. It’s easy.

Just seen the product care guidelines for the woven bands:

 

  • Wipe down the band with a non-abrasive, lint-free cloth. If needed, you can hand wash the band in cold water with mild soap, making sure to rinse thoroughly.

I guess that means that getting it wet won't damage it.
