Is the versa worth buying?

I currently have an ionic which i am really happy with and have been considering buying a versa, but after reading several threads pointing out issues with GPS, HR inaccuracies, notifications, set up and synching.

Is it actually worth buying? Is anybody happy with the product/not experiencing problems?

As a first time Fitbit user, I was severely disappointed with the Versa. To begin with, it was amazing. I showed it off to friends as they liked how it looked. Then after maybe 5 or 6 days, it started randomly restarting and behaving odd.

I returned mine today. I would probably wait a while. I've seen some people have had no issues. But it kinda worries me that so many are having issues and it's not even being addressed? Hmm.

Yes it’s annoying that there are so many unaddressed issues! Fitbit really need to get on it.

I was thinking i will probably wait a while to see if the bugs get ironed out, i waited a few months before buying the ionic and I’ve had no issues with it.

Thanks for the advice!

My Versa has been great.  Of course there are some glitches that need to be worked out, as there is with any new technology.  People are really jumping all over Fitbit and rushing to return the Versa because it doesn't work perfectly the first time.  I'd highly recommend the Versa.

I feel it is.

Note that this is a replacement for my Pebble Time and not really after a competitor for Apple Watch and Android Wear staples.

I've had mine for about 3 weeks and I'm happy with it. Get it setup was a little complicated but now everything works correctly.  It has a few bugs which I'm sure will be worked out with future software updates but on the whole it is working fine for me.

I love mine. No issues with it at all. But I feel the Versa is exactly like the Ionic just without build in gps.

Mine has GPS 🙂

I am definitely hopeful for notification enhancements. That is sorely missed. Heck, even MMS telling me who sent the message would be nice.

@nirozedotnet your Versa has GPS or connected GPS? I know only the Ionic has built in GPS.

Oh, dang. You're right, connected GPS. I thought GPS was included, but that makes more sense for the price point.

Yeah that’s a 100 dollar difference for built in gps lol. So I got the Versa lol. Although my connected gps is quite spotty so I can’t get an accurate reading during my walks. I can’t tell if it my phone, my gps/Bluetooth, or Fitbit app, or all haha. But I wish it was more reliable.
