I'm also wondering if the woven band gathers dirt?

The woven band is not for exhaustive wear. Do not exercise with it, do not get it wet.

That's why they include a classic band with the special edition.

That's kindof disappointing because I've heard the versa bands are difficult to switch. Does anyone know what color the included classic band is?

They are a pain in the **ahem** to switch.

Sometimes you'll have a hard time taking it off, sometimes you'll have a hard time making them latch properly.

If you can't get it to latch, my suggestion would be that you use your fingers to push the little metal stick into the band instead of using the "lever" to force the little metal stick to get inside the band while trying to latch it.

I'm still unable to latch the bands without that little trick that the owner of the Versa taught me, but the good thing is I don't have a Versa so I really have no way of breaking a watch or a band because of that silly mechanism.

They are as difficult to swap out as any watch which uses those spring loaded pins.  Which several traditional, sport and smart watches use.

Having a non proprietary band gives the versa owner access to thousands of watch bands that are very inexpensive.

You will I’ll get the knack for swapping them out.  Embrace it.

Hi ,

I bought the Fitbit Versa SE with char oal woven band. Is this band waterproof and can it be used while swimming?

Nope, that's why they include silicone ones with it.

The product care advice for woven bands from fitbit says:

  • Wipe down the band with a non-abrasive, lint-free cloth. If needed, you can hand wash the band in cold water with mild soap, making sure to rinse thoroughly.
  • Let the band air dry. Direct sunlight, high temperatures and humid conditions can cause discoloration or damage over time.
  • The materials used in these accessories are intended to be worn during normal daily activity. They are not intended to be worn during high-intensity workouts or sleep, which could affect the overall appearance and quality of the accessory is maintained.
  • To minimize discoloration and damage to these bands, limit exposure to moisture and substances like perfume, insect repellent, oil, lotion or dyed materials like denim.

My reading of that is that it shouldn't be damaged (given it can be washed) but it's not recommended as it may spoil the appearance.

It dries ok. I have had mine for a month and I do wear it all the time. It does get dirty and does not clean well. All of a sudden I have developed a rash. I have worn a Fitbit for 6+ years and never had this problem. Love the look of the lilac woven band, but it’s not working out that well for me.

DO NOT ORDER THE METALLIC WOVEN BAND!!! They start fraying IMMEDIATELY, stretch out so that you can't even wear them and the warranty will not cover it even for 45 days! I was told that normal wear and tear is not covered and that even though the product description does not say it, you shouldn't wear this band for fitness activities. Wait, what? Isn't the FitBit supposed to be for fitness? Why would I spend $200 on a plastic electronic watch if it wasn't for the fitness features let alone $40 for a band that you can't wear for fitness activities? So unless you just wear it for looks, don't waste your money!!!
