Is there a life cycle to Versa 2. After a certain point, nothing works to start it up

Hi @SunsetRunner - it depends largely on how the watch is treated, they can last many years.
What problem do you have exactly?

I have a Versa 3 for which I needed to do a full factory reset this past week (end of October 2023). I have read that Fitbits may or may not have life span of two years and I obtained mine in May 2022 (I am not sure when the original Versa 3 was purchased as I won it in a raffle). After the reset the watch seems to be updated with a slightly different screen appearance, I did not lose the extra features software package, and so far it is working fine.
Note: a full factory update does take a while to reload. Mine took an hour.

@SunsetRunner - these issues are often related to poor seals on some watches that do deteriorate over time allowing moisture to get in.

yes that may explain it - what should I do? Can it be repaired? Is it worth it? I have already junked the old versa 2, and it sits in my drawer but I have bought versa 4 as replacement. Should I just throw the old versa 2 out (recycle)?

@SunsetRunner - check the warranty of the Versa 2, may still be covered.
It can't be repaired only replaced and has features that the Versa 4 doesn't. Eg. Versa 4 has no apps and limited clock faces to choose from.
If this has just happened did you know if you are unhappy with the watch Fitbit have a 45 day refund policy or possibly authorised dealers too, some stores provide 14 to 30 day refunds.
