Thank you for visiting the Fitbit Community, @MIM1949 @Odyssey13 @Missaftermath.
I would like to clarify, when you start a swimming session from the Fitbit Versa 3 it will get locked automatically to prevent the buttons on your Watch from activating. However there is no option to manually activate this feature.
There is a feature suggestion called "Add Water Lock to Versa 3". You are welcome to vote it and if there is any update, it should be communicated as soon as possible.
Have a nice day.

Hi @MIM1949 no, your Versa doesn't have that. From a Moderator: "Please note that a water lock feature is only available for Ace, Inspire, and Luxe. For more information, see Can I swim or shower with my Fitbit device? "

Yes there is. Just go to exercise. Select swimming. And hit the play button to select the waterlock

Correct if you start a swimming session under exercise but not to be confused if you just hop in the pool and start swimming. All I had to do was hit swim. And then the water lock feature was engaged.
Although it would be nice to engage this feature should I want to wash dishes or shower (without soap as I know it could damage it). It isn't the best that I have to sometimes enter a fake swim session to engage water lock.

I have only purchased the Versa 3 a week ago and this week 3 days out of 4 when I have hopped in the pool to do laps the swim app has already been activated. I never pushed any buttons or even had my screen on, it hasn't happened at any other time of the day.
