Is there a way to clear the calories? While my watch is in the charger at night it claims I’ve burned hundreds of calories and I am not even wearing it! Please help!

Fitbit uses the Base Metabolic Rate (BMR) to estimate calorie usage when you are not active. It takes your stats for this estimate. You can search the web for BMR calculators to see what your BMR ought to be and compare against what Fitbit estimates. This number is important for those who use the device for weight control as one should know total expenditure against total intake of calories. You can track specific exercises to know what is expended during that exercise. At this time there is no way to shut off or strip the BMR from the total calorie count.

I understand the whole BMR thing totally BUT I think it’s crazy it adds up when I am not even wearing it. Sure wish there was a way to reset it when I take it off the charger and put it on my arm!
cant count on it being very accurate!
