Issue after 13 months Blue screen of death

Has anyone else had an issue with battery life and getting a blue screen of death after 13 months? I contacted Fitbit yesterday and today about the issues and they stated that there was nothing they could do and I would have to buy a new device. Super annoyed/irritated/angry about the situation because I have enjoyed having the watch over the last year but very unhappy that right after the warranty is out that I have to buy a new (and for me) very expensive watch. I dont just have another 200$ to spend on a new watch. I would have thought they would be more understanding, especially with all the covid related issues going on. I couldnt be more disappointed in Fitbit.

I have purchased 2 Versa Smartwatches. The first one quit after 13 months as well. I was told there was nothing they could do as warranty was up. I bit the bullet and spent another $200 for a new one on June 19, 2019. On July 3, 2020 the new one just went blank as well. Conveniently 2 weeks after warranty was up. I love my Versa but can’t spend $200 every year. Not sure if I should get another and buy the extra year warranty or just say goodbye to Fitbit for good. 😢

I am so sorry to hear this happened to you as well! I really think there is something nefarious going on, and or apart of their business plan. This can not be just a coincidence. Its so disappointing as i really like the convenience of the Fitbit.

my versa is 18 mo old and the screen too bit the dust like a flat screen tv gone out.  Sometimes I get a horzonial fuzzy line at the top and some times a bunch of fuzzy vertical lines.  If the battery gets fully charged it will fix temporally but once the battery gets just a smidge off from 100% it starts again.  I thought my charger went out so I bought a new one but it was not my charger it is my fitbit.  I even reset it and it looks 10x worse.  I was going to call but looking at these post It does not look like it will help. I hardly take it off except to charge it but it has not been holding a charge anymore and I am charging it more, this is when the screen went to crap.  Is this when this happened to you?  I love the versa because I can swim with it and I also teach so I can check my watch instead of my phone for messages and emails. , I rambled on to long.  Thanks

With both Fitbit Versas they would just start randomly jumping from steps to heart rate to excercise etc. Then screen got fuzzy lines and then went black. Nothing helped. It is just so frustrating that they only last a year. I like a fool probably just ordered the Versa Lite. At least it is $40 cheaper. Hope it lasts more than a year but not too optimistic.
