Issues to transfer Music to Versa

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I bought my Versa yesterday and I am so disappointed.  Will be trying to return it later today.  This is what I get for purchasing new technology.  I am tech savvy, and have been reading the forum for helpful suggestions, but the music options for this are not as advertised.  The upload of personal music was slow and riddled with errors, I successfully uploaded 12 of 85 songs.  The rest errored out after 3 hours and won't resume.  The Versa, however, gave me a big checkmark.  Upload successful!

So, seeing all the issues others have had with this, I started researching the other options available.  Deezer is not an option for me.  The whole point of this was to NOT have to carry my phone around the gym etc, the fitness data being a bonus. I go to load Pandora, thinking "Ok, I can do the premium, make playlists, this will be fine!" only to find out after another couple hours of music adding and changing, that Versa only connects to your stations, not playlists.  And, once again, I can't even get the stupid Versa to link onto my Wifi, so I can't even sync to that! will do better research next time before purchasing something that says "Listen to your own music"

Hi there @JessHm, thank you for joining the Fitbit Community and for sharing your feedback about transferring music to your Versa has had some issues.

In his case you are correct about Pandora. It will not allow you to download your own playlist. For this an d more information you can visit our public help article: How do I listen to Pandora stations on my Fitbit watch?

Regarding the issues to transfer music to your Versa, I would recommend the following troubleshooting steps: Why can't I download music and podcasts to my Fitbit watch?

It will provide you some additional help if the issue persists. Here you will find also help for issues to connect with WiFi if this is causing the issues with Music transfer.

Let me know if the issue continues in case you need more help. I'll be giving follow up later on.

I’m having the same issue except mine errors out before even 1 song is transferred. This is ridiculous and Fitbit needs to do a lot better than this for what they are charging. I see an Apple Watch in my future.

I think using Thumb Print Radio Station, you can go and listen and put a thumbs up next to songs you like and they will be saved and automatically added to the watch.  I now did this after thumbs up 10 times on that station, and it should now be a playlist on my watch.  This should solve everyone's problem.  Correct?

I would love some advice. I have been using my Versa for a couple months now, and while connecting to Wifi is ALWAYS a disappointing struggle, I have limped through. This time, I have 2 WiFi networks available. The one I always use and a stronger signal that is password free. The Versa will NOT connect to the network I have used in the past. It says connected when I select the other network, but then continues to "Verify WiFi settings" and will not sync. I am to the point where I cannot reach my music from my Versa and I have no idea what other steps to try?????

I disagree with most what is said here .... I have zero problem connecting the versa to wifi and transferring music (mp3), it all works flawless. Kudos to fitbit. I use mp3 because I simply fetch workout music (among others) from youtube and transfer it over. A single 3 minute song takes less then a minute, but I usually have 1hr mixes and they take maybe 15mins or so to download. No sweat.

That said, the whole setup does not make a 2018 impression to me. Too many windows/settings/buttons involved to make it work. It should be one-button plug-and-play process. But aside of that, it works well. Not sure why some of you have problems, your problem description is too vague. Many blame fitbit while in reality the problem is maybe on your own end. Think about it. @Fly4356 are you using Deezer? Or transferring mp3? @JessHm My understanding is that it cannot connect to an open wifi network, you need to use a typical 2.4GHz WPA2 encrypted network... Not sure why you write you have used it in the past WHILE you bought the Versa only yesterday. See https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2233?q=music&l=en_US&fs=Search&pn=1  first section!! 🙂
