Just got a random Rainbow Badge??

I just got two emails, one saying that I’d earned a rainbow badge (700+ floors in a day) and the cloud badge (8000+ lifetime floors). The thing is, I’ve never even gotten close to 700 floors! My most has been over 50! I checked my dashboard and my account and it says I’ve done my ‘lazy amount’ which was about 4! So it’s not even a glitch that’s shown up on my dashboard (either in the app or on the website). Has anyone else had this? It’s not even that the floors have been misinterpreted, I’ve just suddenly got 2 unearned badges!

@chengineer@chengineer and @SteppingJo, Following up on @HeydyF's post, I reached out to the team. It looks like there was an excessive amount of floors reported on that day for each of you.

If you would like for me to remove the excess badges, I can do that. Please PM me and let me know which badges to remove.

I got the rainbow badge too today (Feb 4, 2019) at 3:58 pm PST. Checked my Fitbit Charge 2, and it said only 25 floors at the time. Looking at my profile in the app, somehow Fitbit registered this 700-floors badge (along with several milestones below it) all earned several months ago in late November. I've never even climbed half that in a day, and am pretty sure I did not see much exercise on that particular day either.

I’ve just got the same thing, the rainbow badge.  Given for a date back in November.  I went back through the dashboard to that date and found it has me down for 3248 floors on that date!  Question is, can this be fixed?

Best Answer

I’ve just re-checked my badges. I have all the ones below 700 too and the Rainbow badge is dated back in November as well! Fitbit definitely needs to do something about this.

It seems that we’ve all been very active in November... does Fitbit check these forums? Are they likely to see this to know it needs fixing?

Do either of you have the Nokia/Withings smart scale by any chance? Mine hasn't been syncing with Fitbit for the last week, and apparently something changed back in November, so not sure if the issue is related to this gratuitous rainbow badge grant: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Third-Party-Integrations/How-to-use-Nokia-Withings-scale-Healthmate-...

So, I think there may be a problem in the Fitbit matrix. I received a message today 2/5/19 telling me that on 11/29/18 I earned a rainbow badge for climbing 700 floors!! I went back to that date and looked at my stats and it shows a total of 1,828 floors climbed. Not sure how that was possible on a random Thursday from my desk at work. Just saying. Just thought that I'd throw out there that there seems to be something funky going on...

I got the same thing and it has credited me on that day in novemeber as having over 60 miles. I would like my miles corrected as I link these miles to other things and use the totals for the year

I also got this badge notification today

I got the badge today, too. It seems like some database update caused a problem... My daily max flights is around 30 to 50. This is off by an order of magnitude which likely means there is something wrong.

KateFitbit, I'm unsure how to send you a direct message requesting that the Rollercoaster through Rainbow daily floor badges and all the lifetime floor badges be removed from my profile (it says they were earned on 11/29/2018. Thank you!

Best Answer

Yes  It showed that I did over 7,000 floors around November 26. Could you remove the extra floors and the badges too.

I don't know how to PM you in this system.

Thanks in advance!

Beste @KateFitbit, ik heb per ongeluk verkeerd gewicht ingevuld, en daardoor mega veel badges gekregen. Onterecht. Zou je deze gewichtsbadges allemaal voor mij kunnen verwijderen?

Alvast mijn dank.

Groet, Brigitte
