Just started using my Fitbit Versa on 4th jan 2019 which i bought on 3rd Jan 2019. I am using an apple IOS device with the Fitbit app. When I check my dashboard , i found historical data (Calorie count either 1271 or 1266 on most days) present from past 2 years (sept 2017) . Also, when i began using the Fitbit today, calorie burnt count did not begin at zero but registered 592 calories burnt.

Those are your BMR (basal metabolic rate) calories that you are always burning just by being alive.  You are always credited for them, even when not wearing the tracker.  And they are back-filled in for before you started wearing it.

For more info on this, see How does Fitbit estimate how may calories I've burned?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

But i only bought the Versa on 3.1.19 - how would it know what’s my daily BMR calories for the past two years?! is there anyway i can delete it all and have the records beginning the day i started using it without the historical data going back to 2017?!
