LG V40ThinQ and Fitbit Versa
Both running latest software verified.
Versa wouldn't pair to phone for several days and I performed a factory reset. Now in the Fitbit App I try to set up device and all I get is a Device Found! Connecting.... then fail. I have restarted the Versa, restarted the phone power cycled bluetooth on the phone, reinstalled the Fitbit app, wiped data and cache, unpaired Versa from bluetooth menu....
I am seriously loosing my patience with this device. This usually happens to me every other month or so for no apparent reason as far as I can tell. Usually a factory reset and a repair solves all issues but this time its simply not working.

Hi, the LG V40 is not yet in the list of supported phones by Fitbit. Meanwhile you can use your PC/laptop to connect with the Versa by using Fitbit Connect. Click the link, then click "Trackers and Watches" and scroll down to directly underneath the first video. There it's explained how this works.

I have been using the LG V40 for the past few months with the Versa, how is it that now it no longer works?

Did you perform recently the latest Firmware update? Sorry, forgot to mention in my first message that not being in the list does not always mean that's not supported, but just not in the list. Why not try setting up the Versa with your phone again as if it is a new one? Probably your phone has difficulty in finding your Versa, due to the unpairing of the Versa from BT. When doing the setup, Fitbit will probably tell you that there is already a Versa present and if it should be replaced. Just press Yes and proceed as usual.

I am having issues as well, but with pairing them for the first time. I was using the versa with my Galaxy s7 before I upgraded my phone to the LG V40 Thinq. Now I can't get them linked at all 😞 . It also tells me it's found but that they can't connect because of bluetooth issues. Help please!!

As kuzibri said above, your new phone is not on the List of Approved Devices.

I went to try to do this and it says the versa can only be set up on a mobile device . Am i just screwed now and not able to use my versa anymore? I did a factory reset trying to get it to connect with my LG V40 and now I can't get beyond the setup screen.

Hi, on the moment you do a factory resest, it will be brought back to the "in box situation", e.g. as still being in the factory. You will need to perform the setup of your Versa with your phone all over again as it acts like a new device.

Hi, that's not true. The Versa can be connected and synced with a PC/Laptop. See this, how to setup your device. Click the link and go to "Trackers and Watches" and press it. The article will expand and scroll down to directly underneath the first video, where it says: "Fitbit Connect". Read that part carefully cause it explains how to setup your Versa with a PC/Laptop.

This is where it shows that I can't set up my Versa on my Mac:

Just keep trying... It works at random. I'm so sorry that you are having issues with this.
The watch in my opinion is worth it but such a pain for it to pair at the moment

Its gotten worse... At this point the watch has gone full stand alone, I get zero communication with the phone.

Has this issue been resolved? Will there be another fitbit update to connect the Versa with the LG V40thinq? My fitbit connects to the phone but I can't receive any notifications at all. I used to receive them all the time now I have removed the Bluetooth and reset it up multiple times but still not able to get notifications. And yes my notifications are on.
