Lack of support on Versa for iPad and iPhone for transferring music?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have both an iPad and an iPhone, as well as a MacBook Pro. All of the information I can find on these forums and elsewhere provide instructions for iTunes and an app called “Fitbit Connect.”  There is no such app available in the App Store, and Apple seems to have renamed the iTunes app simply to “Music.”. Therefore, the available instructions don’t work. I’m also seeing a lot of frustration from users who use iPads or iPhones exclusively (although Fitbit seems to claim that their music feature works with all iOS products) and cannot get the Music feature to work on their Versa trackers.  Is there any hope for a fix for this so that I can store music on my Versa?

@Typeaux   I wear a Versa 3 now (can't transfer personal music), but I did transfer music from my Mac to my Versa 2.  And I did it with my playlists on Music.  I can't take you step by step, but I can guide you a little.

  • Fitbit Connect, the software you need, is available here: https://www.fitbit.com/global/us/setup  The "Download Fitbit Connect ...." link is near the bottom of the page.
  • You can only transfer from your MacBook.  You are transferring playlists from your stored library.  You can't download Fitbit Connect to your iPhone or iPad
  • Please read and re-read this Help article: How do I listen to music and podcasts on my Fitbit watch?   I never transferred podcasts, only music playlists

The Help article was updated since I transferred music.  There was a video there that took me through the steps.  The official Fitbit video isn't on YouTube, but there are other videos available.  I hope one of these can help you.
