Language support on Versa 3 is quirky

I don't want to start a riot, but this I have to get off my chest. And it is a suggestion to improve your products.

 

The display language on my Versa 3, or any other device, should NOT depend on the country or location.

Let the user choose a language out of a list, independent from the location.

If the location is automatically influencing the language, that would mean that if I travel to Japan, my watch starts talking to me in Japanese, and while I'm on the way to Japan it could change to German, Hungarian, Greek, Arabic, Hindi, or God knows what countries I pass.

 

I don't know how the device handles the languages, but the device does not have to contain all languages.

When a language is chosen, just upload that language to the device. It doesn't matter if there is only one language file in the device, since the user will only need that one language. Normally he/she is the only one using that specific device.

This would solve all problems with language settings that I see on this forum.

Plus it would be much easier to add languages to the list.

 

Example:

I for one live in Belgium, but Belgium has three language groups, Dutch (Flemish), French and German. For all three groups the location is Belgium, and the language is... English ???

If I want Dutch to be shown, I have to locate myself in the Netherlands...

Sorry, but this is crazy!
