I use a rollator and have to keep my hands firmly planted on the handlebars. I have noticed that at work with its Lino floors and at Westfield Stratford with its similarly smooth one, my Fitbit does not pick up the steps accrued. One potentially dangerous solution is to attach my Fitbit to the rollator

Hello @JackMc1706
Have you ever considered wearing your Fitbit around your ankle instead? I wear mine around my ankle all the time and yes, it will still read your heart rate worn around your ankle as well. Your walking so each step will count.
I use an elastic ankle/wrist band that I purchased off Amazon. Because it’s elastic it allows you to wear it on your ankle and swap it to my wrist when I want to do that as well.
‘You can find it here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08PTWRNBK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It’s not terribly expensive either. I’ve had mine 2 years now and it still works great.
Maybe this can be something you could consider. It’s a great option and allows your hands to remain firmly and safely on the rollator while your Fitbit gives you credit for the steps you’ve earned.
😃 I hope this provides you with the best answer to your question and gets those earned steps counting again. Please let me know
