My sister was gifted a versa and has tried to set it up on her account, but the versa is locked. Is there anyway to unlock it as she can’t set it up, and therefore cant unlock it! Any help gratefully received

Hello @JaceyF all that should have been reset when the giver did the factory reset before handing the tracker over.

If the Versa is still connected to their account and they are local. She can go to them and they can reset the pin then do a factory reset.

Else we need to do the reset ourselves.

Fitbit OS hardware reset.

On the watch, hold all three buttons for about twelve seconds. This will trigger the 2-button hardware restart after about eight seconds.

- When the Fitbit logo appears, then disappears, release the bottom right button, whilst continuing to hold the left and top right buttons until you feel a strong vibration. This indicates the factory reset was initiated.

- This process may take several seconds, and eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays go to Fitbit.com/setup.

- If you fail to release the bottom right button in time or otherwise don't follow the procedure precisely, the Fitbit logo reappears quickly and boots without factory reset.

Please note that we still want to go to settings - help - clear data

If the tracker is still connected to the past user the easiest is to go back to them.

Otherwise

On the watch, hold all three buttons for about twelve seconds. This triggers the 2-button hardware reboot after about eight seconds.
- When the Fitbit logo appears, then disappears, release the bottom right button, then continue holding the left and top right buttons until you feel a strong vibration. This indicates the factory reset was initiated.

I have tried all this, but it never does the strong vibration bit, so doesn’t reboot.
We’ve tried getting the original owner to unlock it, but you cant connect it as you can’t put the code in to unlock the device!
