Hi my phone is Android 7.
My Versa 2 was sold as being compatible with Android 7 at the time of purchase.
At the time of purchase there was no mention of support for Android 7 being removed in the future, or that fitbit customers would have to buy a new phone to keep using the fitbit devices they bought and paid for.
Without the app you can't even change the time on the device ?
If this was known at the time of purchase the customer could defend themselves and make the decision not to buy a device from a company that in several months time, would lock them out of the device anyway, by design.
My Versa has problems syncing with my phone, and the instructions on this site were to re-install the fit bit app.
The new version of the app does not support my phone (Android 7) and the old version will officially not re-install, despite the requirement to re-install the app to make the syncing work to fix the problem with the fitbit device and how it is designed to work.
Nothing has changed on my phone or my fitbit device but now Fitbit won't let me use my fitbit device with my phone, officially.
Customers are not warned at time of purchase that in a few months time support for their phone will be dropped and their device will be unuseable for the use for which they have bought it, and for which the product was marketed and sold.
The reality is this device is useless without a phone, and fitbit policy is that you have to keep replacing your phone to keep using it, or else carry a Windows10 Laptop with you while you're out jogging.
Fitbit have mis-sold their devices and platform and abandoned their customers, who are being punished for supporting this company by buying their products.
As a start-up veteran I am shocked and very dissappointed that a company would be so different in reality to their marketing image.
Please re-instate the Android 7 version of the app, which I am required to re-install in order to fix the syncing problem with the device, or I may as well just throw this thing away.
Thank you.
Also, please warn customers that they will soon be locked out of the device they are buying and will have to carry a windows10 laptop around with them in order to do things like change the time, on a watch.
Thank you.

This issue has been raised by many others. Clearly not well thought through as it only alienates customers in the same situation as you..
This is only a user forum.
Probably best to contact Fitbit Support directly. And get them to make good on what was sold. or register a formal complaint.
There exists archive sites but it is risky because it may introduce security issues installing software from unknown sites.
