Locked versa and deleted device in account

Hello,

I was trying to follow this instruction to unlock my versa:

"step 1: Log into Fitbit.com/login

step 2: on your dashboard find the gears button located on the top right-hand corner :gear:

Step 3: Click on versa/iconic

step 4: scroll all the way down till you see Fitbit pay

step 5: deactivate Fitbit pay

step 6: go back to the mobile app

step 7: sync your device first

step 8: try changing your pin again and it will work!"

I missed step 7, and instead, I accidentally deleted my Fitbit Versa in my account.

Now, I can't connect my Phone to my Fitbit and my Fitbit still says unlock via Phone.

Is there any way to retrieve my Device and put it back into my account?

Am I supposed to throw this now? 😞

@RayRayRay  The only way is to either perform a 3-button factory reset or contact Customer Support. Try this:

  1. Press and hold all 3 buttons until Fitbit logo flashes (this usually takes 15 seconds but may take up to 3-6 minutes)
  2. After Fitbit logo disappears, release the bottom right button
  3. Wait until you feel strong vibration and release the other buttons.

You may need to attempt the reset a few times to find the optimal times. Trying holding the buttons longer, as long as it's needed for the vibration to appear. If you're not successful, let me know.

Thank you for your help @Marrrmaduke.

I have tried to press all three buttons at the same time but it doesn't work.

After pressing them, the screen will black out then will show the logo and then repeat again.

Removing my fingers from the button will switch-on my watch.

I tried to to pair my phone with my watch but it doesn't work as the "unlock on your phone" prohibits me from seeing the number verification.

At this stage, I have not received an email coming from support team.

Hello there,

You cant do anything about it yourself. What you need to do is to email
support and provide them proof of purchase that you bought your versa. They
will then organize to have the pebble sent to them and they will replace it.

I am expecting the parcel to arrive tomorrow so I am not sure yet whether
they replaced it or they just reprogrammed my old versa. I can keep you
posted if you want to.

Regards,
Ray

I am having the same issue. What was the email address you used to contact Fitbit to get this process started with sending it back?

Hi, my little one managed to lock my screen and it said I needed to unlock with my phone. This wouldn't work through the app so I disconnected the fitbit in hope would work, however it didn't. I followed your instructions of doing a hard reset by holding down all 3 buttons but now I just have a black screen and can't turn the fitbit back on. Any ideas please? Thank you

The same exact thing happened to me as well. I had to do a factory reset. I held down the button until I felt the first vibration then let go quickly then pushed it back down quickly then you’ll see the Fitbit Logo then it’ll disappear that when you let go quickly and hit the button again and hold it until a vibration . It took me several times then I got through.
