Logged exercise showing pace instead of calories

When I had my Blaze I would select exercise/workout directly on my phone. On the Fitbit app it would display the activity and stats. It always showed calories burned. That’s since been replaced with ‘pace’... I hate that! I’m not doing anything that would register for pace. I’m doing at home workouts! I’d much rather see calories burned instead of pace. My gps is off. It’s srill happening. The only way that I’ve found to avoid that is to workout without selecting it on my Versa. The issue with that is then it doesn’t keep the accurate time for my workout.  Is this happening to anyone else? Any ideas how to fix it?

@HeathGetsFitIt's probably the same issue I posted yesterday in the Dashboard forum at this link.. The data is there. But in my case I rename the Workouts to achieve the results..

Yeah I’m having this issue too! Worked fine on the blaze, do we know why this has changed?

No idea! But we aren’t alone. I posted in a Facebook Fitbit Versa group and several other users commented saying it was happening to them also! I hope it gets addressed/corrected soon!

I’m so glad I found this because I was just about to start a new discussion asking the same question. I hate this also!!!

someone please give me a solution to my OCD problem lol

 Hi all,

This behavior has been noticed with the Ionic also. Please see the solution in this thread for a workaround. Fitbit is investigating this.

Had the same problem and found this in another thread. Worked for me 🙂

Thanks for stopping by @kiti, hope you're doing good! Hmmmm.... this is very strange my friend. I'd recommend the following:

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account icon > your device image.
  2. Tap Exercise Shortcuts
  3. Swipe left on Weight exercise shortcut and remove it.
  4. Log out of your Fitbit app.
  5. Force quit the app.
  6. Turn off the Bluetooth.
  7. Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  8. Turn on the Bluetooth.
  9. Log back into your Fitbit app.
  10. Tap Exercise Shortcuts.
  11. Re-add Weight shortcut by tapping the + icon and selecting it.

Give this a go and let me know if the distance is still appearing after syncing your workout!

This does not work on the versa. Still getting pace instead of calories when selecting workout.

Yes you’re right. The ‘fix’ worked for me for one activity after completing the steps but then reverts back to the wrong diplated stats.

I've discovered that if I don't manually track my workout and I just let my Versa figure it out, it will sync to the app and show the calories burned and the length of workout instead of pace and distance. Just edit the time frame and category of the workout afterwards.

Hope this helps!! At least this doesn't involve constantly having to delete the app or reboot your phone.

Did you ever find a solution to this problem?

I’ve found nothing to sort the issue and FItbit not really interested as just come back with the usual unhelpful responses.

**ahem** that sucks. I swear when I got my charge 2 it did something very similar and I did something and it corrected and I never had an issue again. But of course I upgrade and now I’m stuck with this issue that seems so simple but bothers me greatly

This is so bogus. I tried the steps suggested to no avail. Fix this!! It’s pissing me off!

Ok I have an Ionic and I've been asking about this for years now. Ever since I owned my Charge 2 I've had to enter my workout manually in order to display the Calories burned.I just tried doing the steps below and so far it worked for me... I will keep everyone posted.

Ok after doing a workout (using the "Workout" category) it worked and showed Calories burned, but the minute I changed the name of the workout to a custom one that I use ( I created one called HIIT Training) it switched back to show my pace...UGH!!!!!! WHY FITBIT???   WHY????

Best Answer

This is exactly what I trying to solve. For the custom activities it changes from min & Cal to Km & Pace.

It is useless
