I had to do a reset of my Versa watch. I have installed the fitbit app. I have the Fitbit Versa inside the cradle. During setup it says Bluetooth is not connected and it puts my Bluetooth on and pairs successfully. However during setup while going through the 1, 2 and 3 steps it seems to struggle to find the Versa. The strange part is that it connects it to WiFi no problem and it pairs with the watch via Bluetooth. Yet it wont connect via Bluetooth.
Have tried the entire process via 4 other devices and a laptop, and the Bluetooth part always seems to be unreliable. It is currently on step 2 of 3...downloading 100%...then it goes to Looking for Versa...Check Versa for progress. Yet when you look at the Versa screen it shows you a logo and some of the dots change their colour, so I would image the watch is not hanging. Please can someone provide some insight...is this normal?

@SunsetRunner is your mobile device on the ""supported"" device list https://www.fitbit.com/devices
What is your device, and iOS/Android version (if not win10).

I am having the same problem. Installed Versa watch last month successfully on Android Blu Phone.
I now have a new Versa Watch. I deleted the old Versa watch to install the new one.
It gets to "Downloading Step 2 of 3". Then it gets to "Looking for Versa..." And stuck there.

I tried again to install my new Versa. When I came back to check, the message was " Update failed. Switch to Bluetooth?"
I click OK to switch to Bluetooth... What does "switch to Bluetooth mean"? Bluetooth is accessing the internet instead of WiFi? Would that not be slow??...
After 15 minutes of waiting, the Android Fitbit App screen is blank. When I click Back Arrow, I get message "Firmware Update is in progress. Please Wait..."
BUG: There should be a status message in the Fitbit App UI to indicate update is in progress. THERE IS ONLY A BLANK SCREEN. The Fitbitt App needs to display a status message. Screen cannot be blank for 15+ minutes.. The only way to tell something is in progress is to look at the watch logo circles moving.

Updating post: I selected "Use Bluetooth for firmware update" after failing with WiFi.
I checked after 3 hours. The progress bar indicates 25% done. At this rate it will be running all night.
Is this normal?

@Raul_MyFitBYes it is normal, when updating via Bluetooth.Make sure your tracker is in the charger!!!
For wifi it is essential that a) you use 2.4Ghz wifi (most routers today have 2.4+5Ghz, 5Ghz won't work), b) that you have standard wifi login and use something like WPA2 etc. That is typical for a home wifi router, and c) that you mobile device AND tracker are on the same wifi network.

After few hours the Bluetooth update fails as well...
" your mobile device AND tracker are on the same wifi network."
How do I know which wifi network the tracker is using? It is a brand new tracker. Doesn't the tracker
automatically use the same wifi network that the device is using?
"For wifi it is essential that a) you use 2.4Ghz wifi (most routers today have 2.4+5Ghz, 5Ghz won't work)". Will have to double check that. IIRC, the App asks me to select a network and enter password. Will need to select 2.4 network.
