Losing gps / not connecting at all

Hi. I've been experiencing this issue for a while and haven't had any joy restarting both phone and versa/closing app on phone as has been suggested before. 

I'm running firmware version 32.70.8.0 and fitbit app version 3.21 on a galaxy s10.

When I start an exercise the versa gets stuck "connecting ". I get the "connected gps is running" notification on my phone but on further inspection it is just stuck too (swirling circle). Sometimes I get connection but it is lost during exercise and I only realise at the end - really frustrating.

Does anyone have any advice for things I can try?

Normally I would restart the phone. What phone are you having issues with @Bibblesquash?

Does you Fitbit have permission to run in the background?

Does GPS link up with the Fitbit app opened?

Sorry I'm looking to find out the extent of the problem.

Hi there. The phone is the samsung galaxy s10. Yes I've got it running in
the background. It does connect but always seems to lose connection well
before the end of the exercise. I cycled 22 miles today, it held connection
for the first mile.
