Lost Fitbit- will sync display of battery dead?

Hi All, I seem to have losts my Fitbit.  In searching this forum, it suggests trying to sync, then the device is close.  My app says it’s syncing- but also says the battery is empty.  Is that a default- or is the battery not quite dead yet and it is close?  Wanted to check before I continue to tear apart my home thinking it’s here because it says it’s syncing.  HELP!  I’m so lost without it and the idea of it being in the house is at least reassuring.  But only if it IS actually syncing.  Thanks in advance!

On phone app, tap profile pic (top left) > fitbit model (Versa 2).  Under 'Sync now' it tells the last time it did actually sync.

If any battery left, see What should I do if I lose my Fitbit device?  for a bluetooth finder.

 

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
