Lost my active minutes after firmware update-Versa 2

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I was working out and noticed that my heart rate wasn’t reading like it normally does. So after the workout I updated my versa 2 to the newest update. When the update was complete I find that my exercise said I was below zones for all 30 minutes even though the heart rate variation chart clearly showed that I wasn’t. What the heck is up with that guys?! I closed the app. Even deleted it and reinstalled it. Didn’t change it. Very annoying. I know it’s one workout but the fact that I lost all my active minutes with the update is really irritating. Mostly making sure the software developers know about it but also wanted to see if this happened to anyone else?

This also happened to me shortly after downloading the firmware last weekend, 1/16/21. Sometimes it'll track my heartbeat and zone minutes correctly; others, when I'm clearly doing HIIT, it says I have zero active zone minutes and a heart rate of 74. I'm definitely not at a resting rate. It has to be a buggy firmware update.

The same thing just happened to me. I updated my Vera 2 today and it switched from 96 active minutes to 5 zone minutes  I restarted as suggested by the moderator but nothing changed.

When I had trouble with my Fitbit Versa 2, I waited until enough people complained and Fitbit fixed the problems I was having. My problems occurred when I updated like they asked me. I'd go to the forums or discussion groups and explain what happened, what steps you took, what the tech support told you to do, and what the results were. They told me that they would give me 30% off a new watch! Same watch with potentially the same problem???? Don't think so!

Thanks, bikingrn. I just bought the Versa 2, as my original Versa just died after having it for about 2 years. I decided not to buy the Versa 3 after reading several negative reviews about how the quality of the products have deteriorated. I just updated it today so if this is just a one-off occurrence resulting from that, I can live with it. If it’s an ongoing issue, hopefully the company will honor the warranty. If not, I will have to agree with numerous reviewers of the Versa 3–might actually be time to switch to an Apple Watch.
