MILES DIFFERENT ON FITBIT THAN IPHONE

I’m concerned that when I run outside, my Fitbit tracking is different than my last iPhone tracking. For example, when my phone says I’ve hit one mile, my Fitbit says im not quite there and have about a quarter of a mile to go. Does anyone know why this is?? Thank you!!

Welcome to the forums!

2 different technologies. They will never match

Also are you holding and looking at your phone all the time? It needs to see your arms swinging

Looking forward to seeing you around

Your iPhone uses GPS to record your walk while your Versa uses your stride.

My suggestion would be to setup manually your stride (at your account informatio/advanced settings) in this way:

- distance measured by iPhone: X

- distance measured by iPhone: Y

-> new stride = old stride * X / Y

Next walk your distances should be much more close.
