All I want is to be able to put music on my new Versa 2.
I have read that the only way to add music to the watch is via the desktop Fitbit Connect app.
I have a macbook air 2017. My father has a macbook air and mother too.
I have downloaded Fitbit connect on all 3 macbooks because I thought there was something wrong with my macbook but that was not the case.
I then thought it might be my wifi connection but when I tried three other wifi's I have the same issue.
When I used my friends windows computer, it worked...
In other words, the problem is not with my laptop, or my wifi/internet connection. The problem is with the fitbit software for macbook laptops.
The only reason I got a Versa 2 is to listen to music while I exercise. I don't understand why we cannot just add music to the watch via the smartphone app!?!?
It is giving me a big headache and I feel like posting your watch back to you!
What is your solution fitbit?

I’m sorry to tell you ... and as you have figured out ... the MacBook is not a supported device. You can post your request for a change to this limitation by tapping here.

But then why do they have a tab on their setup website that says download fitbit connect for Mac?

@Roxannebodill I am reading your post a little differently from @SunsetRunner . To me, it sounds like you have your Versa 2 set up and working, but now you just want to transfer music. The supported devices list is important for setting up and syncing your device. Transferring music requires a Mac or PC and Fitbit Connect.
What Mac OS is on the MacBooks? There is a thread is another forum saying that Fitbit Connect does not seem to be compatible with Mac OS Catalina. I also saw one post that said that Fitbit Connect doesn't work with Mac OS High Sierra. There is also another monkey wrench. Apple has replaced iTunes with Music. Music seems to be very different from iTunes. The iTunes instructions don't seem to apply to Music.

Few months ago I used successfully a Macbook to transfer music to a Versa using iTunes.
The version of MacOS I used was High Sierra. Few weeks ago I used Catalina and found many issues with several programs so I wouldn't be surprised if it has problems also with Fitbit Connect.
