Can you make and take calls from the versa?

No you can't make or receive calls on the Versa, it doesn't have a microphone or speaker.

If you have an iPhone, you can answer the phone using the Versa, but the speaking and listening will all have to be done on the phone or through a headset connected to the phone. This feature is unavailable on Android.

No.  If you have an iPhone, you can receive and reject calls.  The Versa does not have a microphone, so you will need either to use bluetooth, or talk on your near by phone.  This function will not be available for Android at this time.

Why did fitbit app request access to my phone dialer, if there is no ability to make and receive phone calls? Hopefully, it is not so fitbit can use the phone number history for its own marketing reasons.

As our friends here mentioned, you can decline or accept calls for your Versa if you have an iOS device. If you have an Android phone, take a look at the Call Answer/Reject on ionic for Android request, vote for it and leave your comment. I know that there says Ionic but in your comment you can mention that this would be a great feature for the Versa as well.

Now about the access to the dialer, can you provide me with a screenshot of this by following the instructions provided in this post?

I don't think we can make and receive calls on Versa as it doesn't have any microphone to speak with rather than this we can make and receive calls using cloud telephony and virtual phone numbers are a good example to make calls using the internet.

So you can answer a call from Versa, but how?  I pushed the wrong button and hung up on the caller!

The point of buying this fitbit was to be able to respond at least to text and answer a call. I can do quick reply but thought I could respond with my own text. It's a lot of money to spend on something that the fitbit hr does.  I love the look but disappointed in the watch. I have the Samsung Note 8.

I got the update a few days ago and now, I cannot only reply to texts with 5 pre-set replies and several emojis, but I can now answer and reject calls with my Versa on my Android, though I still have to use my Galaxy S9+ to talk.  I can even reply by text to a rejected phone call!  This was not expected and I am loving it!

I heard androids with 8.0 have the ability to take and reject calls. Super bummed since mine is on 7.0. But I’m waiting for a replacement Versa and hoping the second time around runs smoothly.

I got a notification in the App that it was time.   But I've seen that a restart will make it ready.  If not you'll just have to wait.   It shouldn't be too much longer.

You can also answer and reject calls with the Versa on an Android as well as iPhone.

So I brought the Fitbit Versa for 218.00 Andy telling mei can accepts calls r text on it I’m most definitely bringing it back what a waste of money for A dam product u can’t barely use it’s a disgrace !!!!
