Media Volume on android not working when paired with Versa Lite

My Versa lite is paired with my Android device. However, I'm unable to use the loudspeaker on my phone when paired with Versa. Instagram reels, youtube videos, and WhatsApp voice notes don't play at all when paired with Versa. 
I've checked my sound settings and ensured that the media volume is high when testing this.
