Same as Goodwrench13.jl, Alexa will not "hear me" unless I tap hard on the mic repeatedly and I see the lines start to move. and sometimes not even then. very frustrating.

Please help.

I am having the same issue.  I press the button for Alexa it comes up, but when I speak nothing happens.  The watch is clearly not hearing anything being spoken.

Hi everyone - I have one more suggestion. From the clock face on your Versa, swipe to the left to find Settings. Tap that. Then swipe to Microphone. Make sure it is Enabled. Then swipe to the right, all the way back to the clock face. This will save your setting.

It is enabled on my watch.

I did review this article from the previous post, there is nothing about
the microphone not working. Its not that she isn't understanding me, its
that I start Alexa and say something and she doesn't even realize I said
anything. Its clearly a microphone issue not an Alexa issue as it doesn't
work for replying to texts or anything else either.

I did restart my watch by shutting it down and turning it back on and the
problem still persists.

Hi i am having the same issue as the said... And i also have shut it down and turned ot back on... Mic is enable as well... What do i do?

Best Answer

I have the same issue. Alexa is "listening" but there is no response to my voice. The microphone is enabled. Has been since I originally set up device. I have synched and refreshed several times. I have restarted the Versa 2. Still same. I am unable to respond to text messages either. Must be a problem with the microphone. Please help.

I am also having issues since the last update.

When I try to use the mic it picks up my voice but returns the following message:

"How can I help?"

Any help much appreciated.

I have done a factory restart and uninstalled and reinstalled the app.

I have had the same problem with my Alexa not working on my Versa 2. It's very frustrating since that was the reason I bought the Versa 2, to have Alexa on my wrist. I finally realized it was probably the microphone and it was because of the last update. I did a factory reset but it added the same update to my watch so the mic still doesn't work. Kind of not happy with Fitbit right now as they seem to not be trying to fix this problem.

Mine has started to work again.

I didn't do anything since my post so do not know how it fixed itself.

I'm having the same issue I have tried every thing to fix it with no luck at all. It's not just Alexa also when I try to respond to a text with the microphone it also doesn't work or understand what I'm saying. I've read all the posts and tried all the fixes. Still nothing.

I got my versa 2 nine days ago and the microphone stopped working after messing with it for a while I realized if I tap on it with a knuckle right above the microphone it will work

I have been having the same issue. Was Fitbit able to fix this problem for you? If so, how was it fixed?

I was able to enable the microphone. But I don't get to swipe to the right if I swipe to the right it disabled by microphone. The only way to get back to the home screen is click the button on the side.

I am having the same issue and have tried all the recommended fixes. I have to tap hard on the microphone for Alexa to "hear" me and when I try to reply to a text it will not register my voice. Seems this is a known issue. How can customer support help?

Best Answer

I do not believe they can help. They are refusing to acknowledge that it is an issue and will give you the runaround. I guess since Google purchased Fitbit, this is the service to expect, unfortunately. I have been given the runaround for almost a week. Chat and voice support are awful.
