Really dont understand as a new Versa fitbit user how simple issues are not resolved even after 8 months (as just seen this in community where a fitbit member sid he would speak to development and see what can be dine). i eventually worked out how to set my UK versa to do miles (also worked out painfully how to change run to walk) still cant see how you can start a walk and track it rather than see the entire 24 hours!!!!! do fitbit really want people downloading 3rd party apps for such simple things?

anyway back to my point changing from KM to miles in the UK, what a pain and not a chance you could work this out without googling, however this has now changed my UK weather to Farenheit!!!! WTF so i live in the UK my watch is set to the UK yet i cant have celsius without KM and i cant have Miles without Farenheit............. FITBIT sort it out otherwise another £200 customer will be chucking it back.

For the walk, are you using the built in exercise activities?  I am not sure I am understanding.  If I want to control the tracker bc of an activity, usually I press the top right button to open the exercise app and choose the activity I want to do by swiping ( ie, run, walk, bike etc). Once I tap the one I want, I tap play when I am ready.  I have adjusted the settings on some of them to customize my preferences with the little gear on the top left corner.

Thank you yes I get that now. However what about the issue that has been raised many times of having miles and Celsius? I have set the steps to miles well feet and inches (who says that surely the choice should be miles or kilometres) and what a complicated way to change that preference. However changing this then changed my weather to read in Fahrenheit! This is a £200 watch with millions of dollars in investment and something as stupid as that they can’t get right!

Found a thread where this is discussed.  I have been thankful i can run in km and use Celsius for temperature but do weight in lbs.  We do height in feet and inches here but I can live with cm for that purpose.  I am Canadian by the way so we tend to use different metrics for different things also.

Unfortunately, this the way Fitbit currently works.  Someone has a Feature Suggestion to add this functionality.   You should vote the idea up.  Maybe it will happen.

Swim I know it’s the way it works. I also know that Fitbit have been aware of this since at least Aug 2017 so not sure any suggestions is going to make a difference. Either they can’t be bothered or they are incapable of corrected this problem.
