it seems like my steps and miles are not matching up correctly, the steps are way higher than what the mile count is saying. And this is on my replacement versa. is anyone else having this issue? needles to say i am very frustrated when you spend that kind of money and it does not work correctly. I understand its not going to always be right on but this is to big of a difference to not be frustrated about!

Hi, @Lynnbgirl, the Versa does not have a built in GPS chip, so unless you are using "connected GPS" with your phone -- maybe for a specific run or walk-- your Versa will only be able to calculate your day to day mileage by multiplying the number of steps times your stride length.
From what you say, it sounds like you are happy that it is counting the right number of steps, but managing to get your distance wrong.
If that is the case, it culd be that your stride length is not correctly set.
Fitbit calculates your stride length automatically, based on the information that you put in your profile -- gender, age, height and weight. This works for most people, but you may not be average!
First thing to check is, have you correctly entered your information, including units? If, for eample, you have entered 1.9 for your height, and you mean meters, but Fitbit thinks feet, that is going to be badly wrong. (You might laugh, but I did this for weight and wondered why my calorie burn was so low...)
If your details are all correct, but the calculations still seem to be wrong, then Fitbit allows you to adjust your stride length calculation. Instructions here. Of course, this is always going to be an approximation -- no one walks or runs with the exact same stride -- it depends on external factors like the terrain, and internal factors like your mood, freshness, hunger, etc. But it should give you a. rough idea.
