Miles are not accurate on my Versa

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
  • I have the first versa (not the newest one). When I go on walks I choose "walk" as my exercise.  99% of the time my GPS will not connect or loses connection. I know I walk 2 miles but most the time my versa says I only walked 0.5 miles. Today's walk was 0.32 miles and again I know it was a 2 mile walk. Why is there such a huge discrepancy? Is there a fix so it's more accurate?

Hi @AshleyU, it's great to see you in our Fitbit forums. I'd like to follow up and help you with your Fitbit Versa since it's not tracking your distance accurately.

Please restart your Versa as described in this help article. After this, check out and follow the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help page. Finally, monitor your watch for the next 24 hours and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

This is also happening to me. MapMyRun put my route at 3.73. FitBit w/ GPS connected mapped my route fine but put distance at 3.25. A half mile is too much variation to chalk up to taking a tight corner.

It seems to track my steps OK as it put me at 6717 steps. Last week (when it seemed to be logging distance correctly) it tracked a 3.4mi run w/ 6341 steps.

Yet somehow I did 400 more steps today and it thinks I went less distance?!
