More Canadian banks to be added to Fitbit pay?

Does the Fitbit team have intentions of adding more Canadian bank payment options to the Fitbit pay? Having only RBC as an option seems very limiting to the Canadian consumers, and it's the reason that I'm on the fence about buying the Versa compared to other NFC-capable smart watches. Specifically, I'm interested in seeing TD, Scotia, and CIBC added soon!

It is very easy to see Fitbit does not care about the Canadian consumer. It is very disheartening as someone who just bought their Versa special addition partially for the pay feature, that this thread from 2018 has not gone anywhere and there are still just 2 Canadian banks. I bank with BMO, but also have other Visa's and a Capital One card. None work. This should not be hard. Very disapointed, and clearly it is not going to happen. It would be refreshing for once for Canadian's to not be shafted on everything, but Fitbit is just following suit.

It's ridiculous. Everytime I pay with my Fitbit (using the Stack card which I acquired because it's one of the few Canadian financial institutions that work with Fitbit) people inquire. It's a perfect marketing opp but instead I have to recommend they go with an Apple watch or another choice.

I don't know if it went through .. my response disappeared.. but to reiterate.. There are really only 6 big banks in Canada, it is not fractured like the US... In order Toronto Dominion (TD), Royal Bank,Bank of Canada, Bank of Nova Scotia,Bank of Montreal (BMO), Canadian Imperial Bank of Canada (CIBC),National Bank of Canada.. the names do not in any way reflect there area they cover.. all of these Banks are in every Province in Canada.. also really glaringly missing Amex ..

Well, here is my final post on this subject after joining in on what I discovered was an established post AFTER purchasing my Charge 3 and paid the additional upgrade cost for FitBit pay. After my purchase, shortly after the release of the Charge 3 I discovered it didn’t work with BMO. I talked to a FitBit rep who said it should be available shortly. That was close to two years ago and not only have they not addressed the FitBit pay issue. But now right on cue, just like the four previous models of Fitbits I had purchased before, it has stopped working. This time because the battery will no longer hold a charge (but can’t be replaced). Every previous time FitBit did there standard explanation that the warranty was up but I could get a coupon for a discount on a new purchase. I reluctantly did that after each device failed just after the warranty ran out. Goodbye and good riddens to FitBit. How a company can operate the way they do boggles the mind. I hung in there when I heard Google had gotten involved but there doesn’t seem to have been much improvement. Looks like they want to become the “BlackBerry” of fitness trackers. Adios FitBit!
