More calorie burn for walking than swimming?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I walked 51 min and swam 54 min today. My versa logged 416 cal for 51 min walking and 406 cal for 54 min swimming. How can this be possible?

@Bhumsoo Welcome! It's great to see you around! Thank you for your inquiry. The only difference I know of is that the heart rate sensor isn't active while swimming so this may be the reason for the discrepancy. Still you could manually log your activity if you wish, this way you can enter the calories you believe are appropriate for this.

Let me know how it goes!

I also thought heart rate monitor does not work when swimming and it doesn't if i start with exercise app. But if i just start and let it autodetect it registers heart rate. For yesterdays swim it logged 28 min peak, 19 min cardio and 6 min fat burn.

Why can’t fitbit admit this is a problem? It’s massively out. Tracks distance fine but calories no way. I swam non stop for 40mins, 1km and it said 190 cals.
