Music frequency/quality issues - high pitched

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have created and transferred a playlist of my own songs to my fitbit versa but the sound quality seems to be altered. Every single song is really high pitched (or a higher frequency?) where it sounds like a 'helium' version of the original song. I have tested multiple headphones on the device and tested the headphones with other devices to confirm that headphones are not the issue. I have tried MP3 and M4A files. Does anyone have the same issue or know why this is happening? Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

I'm experiencing the exact same issue on my Ionic. There's not really anyone posting about it on the Ionic forum though.

i transferred my playlist, too, but versa won't sync with my MPOW headphones -- if you've tested your problem with multiple headphones, please tell me what kind to buy other than flyer or super expensive ones that work with this thing. i will worry about sound quality when i can get sound. thanks.

@Majingo

So I was getting the same higher pitched version of the song with static using an old $10 bluetooth 2.0 speaker. Today I tried it on a more expensive($50) bluetooth 2.1 speaker and it sounded good, no more static or that higher pitched version of the song. I'm playing an MP3 file FYI. Maybe there's a difference in using bluetooth 2.0 vs 2.1 or newer? Maybe a more expensive device has a stronger bluetooth signal? Not sure, but now I know the MP3 on the watch is good. Hope this helps.

I've had a similar issue with my Versa SE and tried everything. The sound is crackly and higher pitched (higher frequency?). I've tried it on multiple bluetooth speakers (Altec Lansing headphones, Bose sound dock, and two others) and the issue persists. I've disconnected all bluetooth from other devices but that didn't help. I restarted multiple times (back and bottom buttons) and that didn't help. I've paired and unpaired multiple times and that didn't help. I've done a factory reset on the watch and reloaded 25 songs using the Fitbit Connect app and that didn't help.

It's definitely a problem with the watch (and / or the Fitbit Connect for Mac transfer process?) - I plan to exchange it today and try with another unit.

@EthanZ   I'm sorry, but this issue won't get fixed.  Fitbit deactivated Fitbit Connect and the Windows 10 app in October.  You can't update or change your playlists.
