Ok I have looked at various threads on this topic but not managed to fix mine with any of the “solutions” on them.
I have a fitbit versa SE and the music quality through my Bluetooth headphones is absolutely appalling! The pitch is wrong and it’s fussy like a bad radio signal.
This was a new set of headphones so first I though it must be the headphones so I tested with my phone but they worked perfect with my phone. I then got my phone to forget the headphones and tried repeatedly reset and unpairing and repairing my versa and headphones. I’ve tried having the receiver and watch on the same side and different sides. NOTHING I have read so far as a solution is working. I’ve even read on one thread that Fitbit were saying it wasn’t a watch problem it was just one of those things with Bluetooth. Which considering these headphones work perfect with my phone my son’s phone and my tablet it most certainly IS at Fitbit versa problem. Has anyone got any other fixes for this please?

I have the same problem. I tried resetting the watch at first and unpaired bluetooth headphone. It worked at first but the next day it sound distorted again. It seems like it is when I started moving and gets the music distorted. Must be the processor on the watch that it could not handle both fitness tracker and music player. Now I am wondering if I should have just bought the versa lite instead.

Middle of October and still no update from Fitbit?
My bluetooth headphones work perfectly with versa if I use the controls via phone, but once I connect them using the music app instead they are just like everyone else complaint distorted.
For an expensive device, the customer service is shocking.
I tried all the suggestions, (everything) yet nothing works. Just had a software update also. Fitbit need to come back to their customers with a an answer and a fix to everyone's issue. this is not a bluetooth issue, it is a device issue. The fact the headphones work fine for all other apps and devices but not the versa?

I've given up chasing an answer. It's a shame because I love the idea of a versa 2 with Alexa. But no way am I buying another Fitbit again after the issues with this one that I haven't been given an answer to. It's disgusting customer service.
Will Fitbit ever fix this issue?

I'm sitting with the exact same issue. I really wish I had read these posts before I bought the watch. What are the chances of this matter ever being resolved FITBIT??

Let's hope that now google has bought fitbit the updates are better and we can finally have working watches. The fact they say it's the headphones is pish..its the software.

So far I’ve tried four different brands of headphones every single pair of which works absolutely fine with all other devices except the versa. It seems to be only a select few headphones (none of which I have managed to own) that work with the versa. So it’s definitely a problem that Fitbit should be addressing.

I just went from Charge 2 to the Versa 3 and the issue persists. This is so frustrating, one of the reasons I decided to get this device is to go for a run without my phone and right when I paired my phone the sound quality was awful =/

Ive had some issues with my skull candy jib trues but it does this weird pitch/tone and skipping issues, it seems like disconnecting from them and reconnecting seems to work sometimes. but it has to be done every time that i put the headphones back on charge

Same garbled staticky sound issue here. As a few mentioned, I noticed a slight increase in pitch in the audio too when paired directly to my $180 Versa 2.
I first used my very reliable Blackweb Sport Earbuds and it was a miserable listening to anything directly connected to the Versa 2. These Blackweb buds work on several android and Apple devices with great sound. The sound with them on the directly connected Versa 2 was perfect for 3 seconds but returned to the garbled higher pitched sound again. If I stopped the audio momentarily, the audio sounded ok again for 3 seconds before becoming like a scratched chalkboard to my ears.
On day 2, I decided to get a new pair of buds to see if it might fix the issue. I bought the JVC Sport Wireless earbuds with Bluetooth v5. They had the same identical sound issues as the Blackweb earbuds. The support staff at Fitbit was no help with a fix (though nice) even after a complete reset of my watch.
The new JVC earbuds sound great on all my devices with the exception of this Versa 2 watch. I may try one more earbud before selling it at a loss. I am not a gambler and hate rolling the dice with yet another set of buds. Apparently, there’s a major hardware flaw with this watch. Sadly, Fitbit has no answers and will likely lose many of it’s loyal customers including myself and my spouse from this debacle.
