I have been trying to transfer my music from MacBook Air to my Versa for over 2 hours now and still no luck. I have followed all of the instructions given on this website. This is a ridiculously laborious task, which I wouldn't even mind if it would actually work but so far it hasn't. Some of the obstacles I have encountered are: searching for watch, watch not found, no playlists found. I have downloaded all my music from iTunes to my Mac and still no playlists found. I'm really disappointed. I bought this Versa specifically for the ability to transfer my music to it.

@gauravjoshi Apple Music is also a streaming service. That music won't work. Buy through iTunes or other purchase music site. Amazon, Google Music or other where you buy by the song or album.

Oh ok. I am not pro in it but I think they do allow to download the music. So won't it work if my friend has downloaded from Apple Music?

@gauravjoshi Here's an article that talks about Apple Music and DRM encryption. It might make things clearer.

Using a iMac OS 10.13.6 I got my playlist from iTunes loaded onto the Fitbit Connect but now the connect can't seem to find my Versa which I just changed to after having a Blaze for several years. There is an ongoing whirler with the message "Looking for your watch".

Hi Kathy - in my iTunes I have a Playlist of 20 songs called "90's Music." Is this ok - or how do I designate it as my Versa Playlist?

@SVV10 I'm sure that's fine. Have you tried to move the music? When you use the Fitbit Connect app on your computer to start the process, do you see the playlist? It is important that the songs in your playlist are songs that you actually own (purchased) and aren't downloaded for offline listening from a streaming service for which you have a paid subscription. Those songs contain DRM tag that will prevent them from being moved to your Versa.

I'm having this same problem. Versa is fully charged, working, connects to WiFi. As soon as I click "manage my music" it says "looking for your tracker," clock spins, and Versa gets booted off WiFi. Fitbit Connect app does not work on MacBook Air 10.12.

This is what it says when I ask it to manage and download my music: "Sorry, this feature is only available when you have a watch paired to your Fitbit account. To pair, please use the Fitbit mobile app." It is paired to my mobile app. This is as far as I have been able to get. Will go back to the store today or tomorrow and talk to the Geek Squad. Hate it when something is so complicated that it makes me look stupid. Very disappointed. I am also not able to connect my bose wireless earphone to it.

Best solution. Much better than any Fitbit instruction.
