I have been trying to transfer my music from MacBook Air to my Versa for over 2 hours now and still no luck. I have followed all of the instructions given on this website. This is a ridiculously laborious task, which I wouldn't even mind if it would actually work but so far it hasn't. Some of the obstacles I have encountered are: searching for watch, watch not found, no playlists found. I have downloaded all my music from iTunes to my Mac and still no playlists found. I'm really disappointed. I bought this Versa specifically for the ability to transfer my music to it.

I was able to do this but it wasn't easy. I'll let you know what I did.
1. Make a playlist in iTunes specifically to upload to your Versa. Make sure it doesn't exceed the space limit of ~300 songs. I did 60 songs to start.
2. Make sure your MacAir and your Versa are connected to the same 2G wifi network. This only works over a slower 2G band.
3. I put my Versa in the charge cradle and connected to the MacAir. I plugged in the power cord for the MacAir.
4. Make sure you have re-installed the FitBit Connect app since you registered and activated your Versa so that when you open the Connect app you have the option of "Manage My Music".
5. Click on Manage My Music and open the Music app on your Versa as instructed pressing "Transfer Music".
6. Select the playlist you have especially made for your Versa. Music needs to be stuff you have purchased and resides on the MacAir. Family Sharing music won't work.
7. One of the most important steps - Disable any Sleep or Power Saving on the MacAir. Everytime the laptop went to sleep, the Transfer stopped.
I think it took about an hour to transfer 60 songs. Might have been shorter if I had figured out not to sleep the laptop. Try to be near your router. I have a Net Extender I use for the house network and I was very near to my extender.
Good Luck!

I can’t do it either. How I changed the clock face I’ll never know. Cause I can’t change it back! Thought this Versa would be easier to use.

Change it through the Fitbit App. Tap on Icon in top right hand corner of app (looks like Credit Card) Tap on picture of Versa. You will see Clock Faces Icon.

I've been trying for two hours to get music on my versa but no luck. Does Fitbit even have a desktop app for Macbook? The app store says its only available on iOS devices but their website says MAC DESKTOP... i am beyond frustrated. I've tried plugging the charging dock into my MacBook and nothing, i've tried searching for it via bluetooth an nothing. I'm at a loss. Any suggestions? I can't find a Fitbit app for desktops.

Not sure why you can't find the app. This link might help. Scroll all the way down and you'll see the Download for Mac in pink. Install from there for your MacBook.

@katnik You haven't explained where you've gotten stuck with the music transfer. Did you follow the instructions I provided at the beginning of this discussion? Did you load the Fitbit Connect app on your computer? Is the music that you are transferring owned by you? Music that you downloaded from a streaming site for which you have a subscription is not "owned", it's "borrowed". You've paid a fee for the right to access that music but you haven't actually purchased it. Is that where you are getting stuck? You haven't explained what the problem actually is.

@gauravjoshi, @Htrent1028 Where did you get your music from? Did you buy it via iTunes or possibly from CDs that you transferred onto your computer? @gauravjoshi Were you able to get the Versa to recognize that there was, in fact, space available for music?

Thank you for response.
Yes, there is whole of the space available. It is some downloaded music transferred to itunes which I am trying to transfer to Versa. Versa does get conected with Connect app and does show the playlist too.

@gauravjoshi Yes, absolutely the downloaded music could be the problem. You don't say but if this music is from a streaming service like Spotify, even though you have a paid subscription, you don't really "own" the music. You have really only "rented" the music. You've paid for the privilege of listening to this music so long as you have a paid subscription. Music like this has an electronic tag on it to prevent it being moved to other mobile devices. This is a Music Industry limitation and not something specific to Fitbit or the Versa. Buy the music you want from iTunes or another online music source. Probably about $0.99 per song or about $10 for an album.
