I’ve connected my headphones to versa 3 ,music is playing on iPhone and visible on watch but although headphones are connected no sound coming through. I contacted Fitbit chat and the guy said for this issue I need Fitbit headphones to solve it. Surely not? It’s not as though my headphones are not connected to the watch, they are connected. Anyone else had this issue?

@Runfastang As mentioned in one of the help articles I've shared with you above, if you're referring to Spotify, use the Spotify app to control the music playing in the Spotify app on your phone, computer, or other Spotify Connect device. Navigate between playlists, like songs and switch between devices from your Fitbit device.
Note the following requirements:
Hope that answers your inquiry.

Hi there, @Runfastang. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for sharing the details about the issue with your headphones.
It seems like you're trying to listen to Spotify music, aren't you? If that is the case, please note that you'll need to pair/connect the headphones or the ear buds to you phone and not to your watch as when using Spotify the music is saved into your phone not the other way around. The Spotify app on your Versa 3 will only help you to control the music on the phone app. That is why when you push the play button on the watch you don't hear the music coming from your headphones as it may be coming out from your phone.
For more information, see these help articles:
Hope that helps.

I just read this post and I'm amazed. A few things about this don't make sense to me. If you can't use headphones with the Fitbit why even include the ability to connect them? On top of this it means you can't do things such as adjust volumes straight from your Fitbit only skip and find songs, in fact the volume tab seems to also serve no purpose at all. Why include all these pointless features? almost feels like an unfinished article.

I completely agree

This does not address why Fitbit allows for headphone connection at all. Is there other music that can be added to a Fitbit app that would play through my headphones? Would it work if i wasn’t by my phone?

I was disappointed to learn that Spotify is only a "music remote control app for my phone", not a music player for my watch.
That said, I confirmed that, when my Versa 3 wants to play a sound, it plays it over my connected headset - just one example I know of:
I have Alexa configured as my Versa 3 "voice assistant." When I click on the blue circle and say "set a fuzzy squirrel timer for 10 seconds", then over my Versa 3 paired BT headset I hear Alexa say "fuzzy squirrel timer, 10 seconds, starting now."
