My Fitbit Connect App is accessing too much space from my hard drive

I'm using the Fitbit Connect App to transfer music from my Mac's iTunes Library to my Versa.

When I navigate to the Manage Music UI, the Fitbit Connect App starts reading my iTunes library which is fairly large (30,000 songs), though I know people who have much larger music libraries. It takes a couple of hours before Fitbit Connect will even begin transfers, I believe this is because it's analysing my library.

Looking at Fitbit Connect in Activity Monitor, I see that it accesses >160GB of data on my hard drive, yes 160 gigabytes! This happens every time I go to Manage Music and takes a ridiculously long time, not to mention potentially reducing the lifespan of my hard drive.

I can live with the slow WIFI transfer speeds, but please look at ways to speed up the integration with iTunes and prevent hammering my hard drive. Or perhaps let us turn the iTunes integration off entirely so that we can manage music by simply dragging and dropping the audio files.

Oh man! thanks a lot. Shame on Fitbit. I had the same problem. Working for months with my MacBook Pro without any disk space trying to delete so many files.

Then I saw the same thing. I've uninstalled Fitbit Connect and BAMM! My disk space is coming back to 150gb free.

Lost time and money for that. Not happy at all!

Over a year on and it's still happening.  What did the "team" say when you passed it on?
